If you’ve been our guests at the Kaylaka Park Hotel, you know that we insist our guests receive the best service and a high level of comfort. In addition to those looking for holiday options in Pleven, we also welcome anyone heading off on a wine tour of the country. <\/p>\n

We decided to breathe new life into the winery located in the hotel. We wanted it to become a perfect wine tasting venue and wine tasting to be a real experience for our guests. We rolled up our sleeves and worked hard to transform it to make it one of the most memorable wineries in Bulgaria. On December 12, 2023, the transformed winery opened its doors. Today, between the walls of natural stone, our guests find an intimate atmosphere – a fireplace, carvings, comfort. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2. Wine tasting at Park Hotel Kaylaka<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Kaylaka Winery offers a unique selection of delicious Bulgarian wines and brandies. Along with them arrive carefully selected appetizers and specialties prepared according to the recipe of Chef Andre Tokev. <\/p>\n

Soon after the opening of the winery the idea of wine tastings was born. Our wine tasting takes place in a tasting of 6 wines produced by the winery, which is a special guest of the event. Typically this would be two white wines, two reds and one each of a dessert and ros\u00e9. <\/p>\n

Our partnership with many wineries allows us to present you the best wines from different regions of the country. The tastings are usually attended by a technologist from the specific winery, who talks in detail about the winemaking technique and the different grape varieties. This gives you the opportunity to learn more about the grapes’ journey from the vineyard to the table. <\/p>\n

Some of the most famous wineries that have presented their wines to us so far include Gorun, Marjan, Purkari and Bononia Estate. The latest tasting for summer 2024 took place with the assistance of ShaToni. The special guest was the inimitable Krasi Radkov, whose charisma and sense of humour made the evening unforgettable. <\/p>\n

Preparing for the events is also exciting for us as hosts. To make the enjoyment complete, we prepare specialties that best harmonize with the wines that will be presented. Chef Andr\u00e9 Tokeff is personally responsible for this task. He must suggest those dishes that will go best with the wines. Chef Bisser Alexiev and his team are responsible for their masterful execution on the day of the event. <\/p>\n

Kaylaka Winery is set to open for the winter season in a few days. This year you can look forward to many different wine dinners and delicious adventures. There, scientists and specialists concentrate on proper winemaking techniques, best practices in growing and caring for vineyards, and more. The institute combines applied science, research and production activities in the wine field. It houses information on different grape varieties, vines, wines and techniques. It also offers training for winemakers, as well as sowing of different varieties. Emphasis is placed on balance in the flavors of ros\u00e9, red and white wine. <\/p>\n
