Inspired by the autumn color, we decided to renew the menu at Kaylaka Restaurant and to open the kitchen door for you to see how the magic happens.

How did it all start for our restaurant in Pleven?

Food to bring pleasure to the guests – this has always been the concept of Kaylaka Restaurant. We’ve always shared the idea that food is a way to thrill guests and touch not only their palates, but also to stay forever in their hearts. For years our restaurant in Pleven welcomes guests and impresses them with excellent taste and unobtrusive service. If you’ve read our previous articles, you know that for a long time the restaurant was the only place in town that offered European cuisine and had live music.  

The reputation we have earned only motivates us to overbuild on what we have achieved over the years. We wanted to turn Kaylaka into a place without analogue, into a restaurant of the highest level in Pleven and the region. We knew we needed the best products and the best professionals.  

So, in November 2022, the experience and the different handwriting of Chef Andre Tokev met our ambitions and desire. The collaboration not only enriched our menu, but also placed Kaylaka Restaurant on the gastronomic map of the region. Now we are proud to say that we are not just serving dishes to our guests, but we give them a true culinary journey.

How does the magic happen in our kitchen?

The change of seasons also means a change of menu for the restaurant nestled in the embrace of Kaylaka restaurant. Now that the hard work of transitioning to an autumn/winter menu is underway, our kitchen is in a frenzy of preparation. And because it’s important for us to serve you fresh, quality and delicious food, we rely on fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables. Chef Tokev prepares an absolutely updated menu for you and as always manages to create modern and delicious dishes with your favourite ingredients.

If you visit the restaurant in the coming season, we recommend you try our pear salad with gorgonzola and walnuts. One of our new main dishes that will make you long for more is celery steak with mushroom ragout. Everyone knows that dessert doesn’t go in the stomach, it goes straight to the heart. Namely the desserts are the perfect ending to the evening, which is why we would like to let you know that our menu also includes irresistible sweet delights. We recommend the roasted pumpkin with kadayif as a tart with “Misquette” ice cream on a caramel sauce with walnuts and cinnamon. And what is “Misquette” ice cream? It’s a special ice cream made with “Misquette” wine, produced for Kaylaka Restaurant by our friends at Gorun Winery. That’s how we make sure that every bite of our desserts brings true delight.
