Kaylaka Park is not just a place on the map of Pleven. For the people of Pleven, it is a childhood memory, a spot for a first date, a quiet corner to relax after a long day at work, or a preferred destination for a weekend family walk. At Park Hotel Kaylaka, we have always felt privileged to be part of this green oasis. Beyond enjoying its unique nature, we consider it our personal responsibility to care for it and maintain it, so that it remains beautiful, vibrant, and inspiring for generations to come.
Nature requires not only admiration but also constant care. Guided by this thought, over the past month, our team has undertaken a major landscaping and improvement initiative in the area around the hotel, planting over 300 new plants.
Among the new inhabitants of our gardens, 110 cherry laurels stand out. With each passing year, they will become greener, providing the privacy we all seek. We also added 20 lemon cypresses, whose subtle and fresh scent will welcome every guest. We know how important it is for you to walk amidst greenery and beauty. That is why we planted an additional 162 Euonymus japonicus shrubs – 150 young additions and 12 large bushes.
To ensure the landscape is filled with color throughout the different seasons, we also planted 6 jasmines, 6 photinias, and 100 hydrangeas, which will soon bloom in all their glory. They will become the perfect backdrop for your photos and family memories.
When we plan a vacation, we usually look for three things: delicious food, comfort, and that precious feeling of tranquility that allows us to reset our mind and body. The hotel’s location in the embrace of the park allows us to offer you exactly that—an escape from the stress of daily life and a complete immersion in nature. Our team is constantly discussing new ideas and concepts to enhance your experience with us. We believe that the hotel and its outdoor space should function in absolute harmony, becoming an extension of the wonderful park.
This is why we are excited to share with you that the most interesting part of the improvement project is yet to come. We have started building a Japanese garden. The garden around the hotel will feature a variety of bonsai* species, precisely selected and cultivated with great care. The first steps in its creation were taken personally by Lucy Dyakovska. With enthusiasm and a wide smile, she shaped the first Leyland cypress bonsai.
*Bonsai – translated from Japanese: “planting in a tray.” It recreates trees and shrubs found naturally in nature on a miniature scale. Natural moss is often added as a complementary element.
We continue forward, believing that with every new sapling, we are making Pleven a more beautiful, welcoming, and greener place to live and rest.
